Cause of Russia and Ukraine war


For months now, Russia Vladimir Putin planed to attack Ukraine, but on Thursday he announced a “special military operation” in the countries region.
The announcement on live television was followed by reports of explosions in Ukraine capital Kyiv as well as other parts of country.
Mr Putin latest actions comes days after he ignored peace deal and order troops inside two eastern regions held br rebels in his own words “maintain peace”.
Russia has deploy at least 200,000 troops near Ukraine borders in recent months, and fears increase with the latest move marking the first step of a new invasion.
Russia for a long time stands against Ukraine move towards European institutions, both Nato and EU.
Now, Mr Putin claims Ukraine was just a mere toy in the West and no ever be proper state anyway.
He demands guarantees from the West and Ukraine that they would not join Nato, one defensive alliance of 30 countries, and that Ukraine will demilitarize and become a neutral state.
As a former Soviet republic Ukraine has deep social and cultural ties with Russia, and they shared Libera communications, but ever since Russia invade in 2014 those relations became strained.
Russia attacked Ukraine after they removed their pro-Russian president early 2014. the war in east has claimed more than 14,000 lives since then.
When Russia invade Ukraine in 2014, rebels that had President Putin support seized areas of the east and they have been at war with Ukraine army ever since.
UN Secretary-General has rejected Russia use of the word peacekeepers.
The West believes Moscow is planning a new invasion of Ukraine, a country of 44 million people with borders in both Russia and the European Union.
President Putin has warned that Ukraine would be responsible for further bloodshed if they don’t stop the attack on the east.
